Article Abstract:
The proper calibration of a dry rig is important in achieving the accurate application rate needed in agriculture applications. This accuracy can only be ensured through the use of pan testing, a process that will vary from spreader to spreader because of differences in design. It is important to note, however, that the spread pattern is affected by such factors as wind, spinner speed, material sizing, delivery of material to the spinner disks and the angle of the spinner blade.
