Optimal aluminum-assisted mesoporosity development in MFI zeolites by desilication
Article Abstract:
The mechanism of intracrystalline mesopore formation by desilication in alkaline medium is controlled by tetrahedrally coordinated aluminum in MFI zeolite frameworks. A controlled mesoporosity development with preserved crystalline and acidic properties is enabled by the optimal molar Si/Al ratio in the range 25-50. This leads to more efficient zeolite utilization by improved diffusion characteristics.

Effect of the surface energy barrier on sorbate diffusion in AlPO(sub 4)-5
Article Abstract:
Two molecular modeling techniques were used for evaluating the importance of pore exit effects and the surface energy barrier on the sorbate diffusion in AlPO(sub -4)-5. Results indicate that the importance of the exit effects increases as the ratio of the size of the sorbate molecule to the pore size approaches unity.

Study of type-A zeolites. part2: effect of dehydration on the effective aperture dimension
Article Abstract:
A new insight into the role played by water molecules in the crystalline framework of type-A zeolites is provided. Water content is seen to be a valuable tool for studying the roles played by different mechanisms that determine the effective apertures dimension in A zeolites.
