Orientational correlations in the glacial state of triphenyl phosphite
Article Abstract:
The local structure of the glacial and supercooled liquid states in triphenyl phosphite is investigated using spallation neutron and high-energy X-ray diffraction experiments. The results show that the glacial state forms unusually weak intermolecular hydrogen bonds between an oxygen atom connected to a phenyl ring and an adjacent phenyl ring aligned in an approximately antiparallel configuration and also the structure is very different from the hexagonal crystal.

Study of the electrochemical reduction of dioxygen in acetonitrile in the presence of weak acids
Article Abstract:
The electrochemical reduction of dioxygen in acetonitrile (ACN) is studied at glassy-carbon electrodes is presented. The reduction of dioxygen in ACN in the presence of weak acids occurs by a quasireversible one-electron reaction with formation of hydrogen-bonded complexes between the product superoxide and the additive.
