Particle size control in dendrimer-derived supported ruthenium catalysts
Article Abstract:
A high-resolution transmission electron microscopy (HRTEM) investigation of a family of supported Ru catalysts prepared from Ru hydroxyl-terminated poly(amidoamine) dendrimer-metal nanocomposite (DMN) precursors is conducted. The average particle size of the Ru-DMN precursors on the HRTEM grid is found to correlate well with the theoretical particle size predicted from the molar loading metal in the dendrimer.

Atomic scale investigation of the oxidation of CO on RuO2(110) by scanning tunneling microscopy
Article Abstract:
An investigation on the reaction between adsorbed CO molecules and O atoms on epitaxially grown RuO2(110) is presented by scanning tunneling microscopy. The reaction of CO molecules with -bridge atoms on the stoichiometric surface was monitored on the atomic scale and was found to proceed according to the established reaction model.
