Photophysical and photocatalytic properties of MIn(sub 0.5)Nb(sub 0.5)O(sub 3 (M=Ca, Sr, and Ba)
Article Abstract:
Study was conducted to synthesis new photocatalysts MIn(sub 0.5)Nb(sub 0.5)O(sub 3 (M=Ca, Sr, and Ba) with the ABO3 type perovskite structure in which B sites are occupied by In(super 3+) or Nb(super 5+) ions randomly in a charge-balanced manner. The photophysical properties and the photocatalytic activities under UV and visible light irradiation (lambda > 420 nm) were investigated.

Photophysical and photocatalytic properties of AgInW2O8
Article Abstract:
A photocatalyst, AgInW2O8, is synthesized based on the control of electronic and crystal structure is presented. It is observed that the photocatalyst showed not only photocatalytic O2 evolution but also photocatalytic H2 evolution. This synthesis of the photcatalyst provides some useful insights for the design of new photocatalyst for the photcatalytic H2 and O2 evolution.

Article Abstract:
Synthesis of a new ABO3 perovskite photo catalyst BaZn1/3Nb2/3)3 by a solid-state reaction process are presented. The Zn (super +2) 4s state acts as the lower conduction band instead of the Nb (super +5) 4d state.
