Preparation of platinum/carbon aerogel nanocomposites using a supercritical deposition method
Article Abstract:
The applicability of the supercritical fluid (SCF) deposition method to prepare platinum/carbon aerogel (Pt/CA) composites with a high dispersion of platinum is examined. The results indicate that in SCF deposition, it is possible to control the dispersion of metal crystallites on various supports through the strength of the interactions between metal precursors and the substrate and the reduction temperature.

Electrodeposition of platinum on nanometer-sized carbon electrodes
Article Abstract:
The results on the electrodepositions of Pt on nanometer-sized carbon microelectrodes are presented. The results showed that the single nucleation and growth processes could also occur at relatively large electrodes (~100nm in size) when a high overpotential is applied so that a diffusion-controlled deposition process is established.

An alternative phase-transfer method of preparing alkylamine-stabilized platinum nanoparticles
Article Abstract:
Alkyl amine-stabilized Pt nanoparticles can be prepared by the phase-transfer method that has been developed. This can be of great use for further studies as the latter Pt nanoparticles could order into some intriguing patterns on the TEM copper grid.
