Probing the Raman scattering tensors of individual molecules
Article Abstract:
Polarization spectroscopy was used to show that the enhancement of the fluctuating bands in the Raman spectra of individual rhodamine 6G molecules involves a resonant process whose transition is rotated with respect to the molecular transition dipole. It was also found that polarization function remains stable over the whole time scale of measurement, indicating that molecular reorientation with respect to the surface is unlikely.

Quantum effects on the adsorption and diffusion of hydrogen and deuterium in microporous materials
Article Abstract:
The adsorption and diffusion of hydrogen and deuterium in zeolite Rho are investigated with the use of Monte Carlo and molecular dynamics simulations and neutron scattering experiments. The molecular dynamics simulations have shown that the quantum effect is very sensitive to pore dimensions and under suitable conditions can lead to a reverse kinetic molecular sieving with deuterium diffusing faster than hydrogen.

Deuterium solid-state NMR study of the dynamic behavior of deuterons and water molecules in solid D3PW12O40
Article Abstract:
Studies of the (super 2)H NMR line shape and spin-lattice relaxation times has characterized the deuteron and water dynamics in H3PW12O40.nH2O (HPA), at different water contents, in the temperature range 103-383 K. For deuterated H3PW12O40.0.1H2O, three dynamically different species can be distinguished with 2H NMR, mobile deuterons, mobile [D3O](super +) ions, and immobile deuterons.
