Dye-sensitized SnO(sub 2) with iodide and pseudohalide redox mediators
Article Abstract:
The study demonstrated that alternative redox mediators could be successfully used within dye-sensitized solar cells comprised of a nanocrystalline SnO(sub 2) electrode. Photocurrent efficiencies and cell voltages were larger using the alternative redox mediator (SeCN)2/SeCN(super -) compared to I(sub 3)(super -)/I(super -) for all three sensitizers.

Remote oxidation of organic compounds by UV-irradiated TiO2 via the gas phase
Article Abstract:
The study of the remote oxidation of organic compounds via the gas phase is presented. The results revealed that the remote oxidation of aromatic and aliphatic substances by UV-irradiated TiO2 result in oxygenation and decomposition of the substrates.
