Relationship between chemical bonding character and electrochemical performance in nickel-substituted lithium manganese oxide
Article Abstract:
The experiments were conducted on Nickel-substituted lithium manganese oxides to examine the effects of Ni substitution on the chemical bonding nature and electrochemical property of layered lithium manganate. The results show that the capacity loss of layered lithium manganate during the cyclic process is primarily due to the migration of manganese, rather than the presence of the Jahn-Teller (JT) distortion.

Neutron diffraction and X-ray absorption spectroscopic analyses for lithiated aurivillius-type layered perovskite oxide, Li2Bi4Ti3O12
Article Abstract:
The crystal structure of the Li-intercalated Bi4Ti3O12 (BTO) since the contribution of lithium and oxygen to the overall neutron scattering is compared to the X-ray scattering using neutron powder diffraction analysis. The study concluded that the lithium atoms are positioned between a perovskite block and a Bi2O2 layer.

The influence of host lattice on the chemical bonding nature of guest species in high-Tc superconducting I-Bi2Sr(sub 1.5-x)LaxCa1.5Cu2Oy nanohybrids is examined. Combinative X-ray photoelectron spectroscopic and X-ray absorption spectroscopic analyses are used for this purpose.
