Reversible micelle-vescile conversion of oleydimethylamine oxide by pH changes
Article Abstract:
A preliminary study on the reversible micelle-vescile conversion of oleydimethylamine oxide is presented. It is observed that viscoelasticity correspondingly varies from the Maxwell-type behavior of the entangled network of fibrous micelles to the gel-like behavior of vescile suspensions, through a fluid solution-like behavior of the fused network.

Effects of protonation on tetradecyldimethylamine oxide micelles
Article Abstract:
Solution and surface properties of tetradecyldimethylamine oxide (C14DAO) aqueous solution were studied and compared with those of dodecyldimethylamine oxide (C12DAO). The result showed that the surface potential is larger for C14DAO than C12DAO and also suggest that the number of micelles in lower solutions is negligible.

Effects of protonation on the viscoelastic properties of tetradecyldimethylamine oxide micelles
Article Abstract:
Viscoelastic properties of tetradecyldimethylamine oxide (C14DAO) solutions are examined with emphasis on the effect of protonation. The short-range attractive interactional between the headgroups of the nonionic (deprotonated) and the cationic (protonated) species is suggested.
