Electron transfer dynamics in quantum dot/titanium dioxide composites formed by in situ chemical bath deposition
Article Abstract:
The experimental transient absorption (TA) results on the dynamics of electron relaxation and electron transfer in cadmium sulfide quantum dots (QDs) grown by chemical bath deposition techniques on nanocrystalline oxide substrates are presented. It is concluded that the TA dynamics in the visible and mid-IR regions is used to evaluate the time scale for electron injection, which is found to occur in ~10-50 ps.

Absorption spectra related to heterogeneous electron transfer reactions: The perylene TiO2 system
Article Abstract:
The linear absorption spectra of perylene attached to nanostuctured TiO2 are studied experimentally as well as theoretically. Heterogeneous electron transfer (HET) rates deduced from the calculations on the absorbance displaying line broadenings follow the qualitative trend obtained from the transient absorption spectra.
