Saturated vapor pressure and sublimation enthalpy of fluorine derivatives of C60
Article Abstract:
A study was conducted to analyze the saturated vapor pressures of fluorine derivatives C60F36 and C60F48. The Knudsen cell mass spectrometry and Knudsen effusion techniques were utilized to carry out the analysis. The derivatives were prepared using synthetic procedures. Independent measurements were then carried out to determine the average molecular weight of the effusing vapor over the derivative. Experimental results indicated that C60F48 vaporizes without decomposition.

Crystal structures of the fluorinated fullerenes C60F36 and C60F48
Article Abstract:
A study was conducted to analyze the crystal structures of the C60F36 and C60F48 fluorinated fullerenes. X-ray diffraction and electron diffraction methods were utilized to carry out the analysis. The structural changes resulting from high temperatures were also examined using in situ high temperature x-ray studies. Results indicated that the fcc phase is the stable phase of C60F48 at high temperature and supported a lattice constant of about 463 K.

Enthalpy of formation and C-F bond enthalpy of fluorofullerene C60F36
Article Abstract:
Research designed to measure the enthalpy of formation of the fluorofullerene C60F36 is presented. It is concluded that there is a tendency of C-F bond enthalpy decrease with the amount of F atoms attached to the fullerene cage.
