Self-assembly behavior of poly(methacrylic acid-block-ethylacrylate) Polymer in aqueous medium: potentiometric titration and laser light scattering studies

Article Abstract:

The micellization behavior of poly(methacrylic acid-block-ethyl acrylate), P(MAA-b-EA), in aqueous solution is reported and its aggregation behavior to that of random and cross-linked MAA/EA copolymer is compared. The P(MAA-b-EA) block copolymer exist as spherical micelles consisting of a hydrophobic EA core surrounded by a hydrophilic MAA shell with a particle size (R(sub h)) of 20-30 nm and aggregation number ~60-75.

Study on the electrochemical behavior of poly (ferrocenylsilane) films

Article Abstract:

The electrochemical properties of polyferrocenyldimethylsilane (PFDMS) films and polyferrocenylmethylphenylsilane (PFMPS) films deposited on a glassy carbon electrode in aqueous LiClO4 are presented. Quasi-reversible or nearly irreversible redox processes were observed in this electrolyte solution for both films.

Self-organized monolayer of nanosized ceria colloids stabilized by poly(vinylpyrrolidone)

Article Abstract:

An alcohothermal method was developed to prepare ceria colloids from the poly(vinylpyrrolidone) (PVP) stabilizer and the alkylamine base. The introduction of PVP not only effectively prevented the cerium nuclei from self-aggregation but also greatly eliminated surface defects of the as-obtained nanoparticles.
