Simulation of square wave voltammetry: reversible electrode processes

Article Abstract:

An approach for the simulation of square wave voltammetry at uniformly accessible electrodes is developed based on the backward implicit method. The method is tested by applying it to the modeling of electrochemically reversible processes. The variation of peak height, width at half-height and the area as a function of square wave frequency and amplitude derived using the method were found to be in excellent agreement with those derived through full analytical theory.

Simulation of square wave voltammetry at hemispherical electrodes: electrochemically reversible, irreversible and quasi-reversible processes

Article Abstract:

A general approach is developed for the numerical simulation of square wave voltammetry (SWV) at hemispherical electrodes based on the backward implicit method. The peak current is recorded over a range of square wave frequencies and compared to results calculated from simulation of both planar and hemispherical electrodes.

Steady-state voltammetry at a rotating disk electrode in the absence of supporting electrolyte

Article Abstract:

Predictions of how total withdrawal of supporting electrolyte influences the steady-state limiting current at a rotating disk electrode is presented. The experimental findings of H.S. White and X.P. Gao are discussed.
