Sodium interacting with amorphous water films at 10 and 100 K
Article Abstract:
A study was conducted to compare the adsorption of Na on amorphous D(sub 2)O ice films, held at 10 and 100 K. The relative intensity of the OH and D(sub 2)O features was same for 10 and 100 K, and the finding suggested that two different sites for Na adsorption existed, one on the perfect water network and the other at OH dangling bond sites whereby, at 10K, only the latter one leaded to deprotonation of D(sub 2)O.

Observation of single-crystal-type EPR spectra from monolayers of copper-exchanged zeolite Na-A crystal assembled on glass plates
Article Abstract:
The g(sub z) directions of the hydrated and the full dehydrated copper species was determined by comparing the EPR spectrum of a powder sample with that of microcrystals assembled on glass plates. The results showed that the g(sub z) direction of Cu(super 2+) species D is not compatible with site II in the six-ring plane.
