Elongated copper nanoparticles coated with a zwitterionic surfactant
Article Abstract:
The sonochemical method has been used for the preparation of elongated copper nanoparticles coated with the surfactant cetyltrimethylammonium p-toluene sulfonate. An interconnected network of threadlike micelles was used as a template.

Microwave assisted preparation of CdSe, PbSe, and Cu(sub 2-x)Se nanoparticles
Article Abstract:
Nanoparticles of various dimensions of II-VI binary chalcogenides CdSe, PbSe, and Cu(sub 2-x)Se, are prepared by a very simple fast reaction between acetates or sulfates of Cd, Pb and Cu and Na2SeSO3 in the presence of complexating agents, using microwave irradiation. The nanoparticles are analyzed by X-ray diffraction (XRD), electron microscopy (TEM) and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS).

Sonochemical preparation and characterization of europium oxide doped in and coated on ZrO2 and yttrium-stabilized zirconium (YSZ)
Article Abstract:
Ultrasound radiation was used to prepare Eu2O3 dd in zirconia and yttrium-stabilized zirconium (YSZ) nanoparticles. Time decay measurements of the doped and coated materials were conducted using a pulsed laser source and accordingly longer lifetimes were measured when the doped and coated samples were annealed at 700 degrees Celsius and shorter lifetimes were attributed to concentration quenching.
