Spectroscopy of photovoltaic and photoconductive nanocrystalline Co(super 2+)-doped ZnO electrodes
Article Abstract:
Photocurrent and photoconductivity measurement are used in combination with absorption and magnetic circular dichroism (MCD) spectroscopic measurements to elucidate the mechanism of photoinduced carrier generation in nanocrystalline Co(super 2+):ZnO electrodes. The experiments allowed direct observation of two broad Co(super 2+) charge transfer (CT) bands extending throughout the visible energy range.

Tailoring (n,m) structure of single-walled carbon nanotubes by modifying reaction conditions and the nature of the support of CoMo catalysts
Article Abstract:
The (n,m) population distribution of single-walled carbon nanotubes obtained on supported CoMo catalysts is determined by photoluminescence and optical absorption. It is found that the (n,m) distribution can be controlled by varying the gaseous feed composition, the reaction temperature, and the type of catalyst support used.
