Stabilizing effect of pseudo-dendritic polyethylenimine on platinum nanoparticles supported on carbon
Article Abstract:
A new surfactant with a hydrophile of dendritic polyethylenimine (C12(EI)7) was synthesized by a cationic polymerization of dodecylamine with aziridine and was used as a stabilizer to prepare Pt colloid, which is then used in situ to prepare carbon-supported Pt nanoparticles. In the presence of carbon, the Pt particle size increased slightly with lower C12(EI)7 content while for those with higher content concentration remained unchanged.

Adsorption characteristics of arylisocyanide on Au and Pt electrode surfaces: Surface-enhanced Raman scattering study
Article Abstract:
A study to investigate the adsorption characteristic of 2,6-dimethylphenylisocyanide on Au and Pt electrodes by recording the potential-dependent surface-enhanced Raman scattering (SERS) spectra is conducted. The results reveal that Pt nanoaggregate films were efficient SERS-active substrate, not only in ambient conditions, but also in electrochemical environments.
