Stimulating effect of graphite admixture on hydrogen sorption-desorption properties of mechanically activated titanium powder
Article Abstract:
The effect of graphite admixture on hydrogen sorption-desorption properties of mechanically activated electron microscopy, temperature-programmed reaction, and temperature-programmed desorption techniques are examined. The major effect of graphite addition was found to be the formation of microporous carbon matrix particles containing randomly distributed titanium particles only several nanometers in diameter.

Classical studies of H atom trapping on a graphite surface
Article Abstract:
The trapping sticking of H and D atoms on the graphite (0001) surface is examined over the energy range 0.1-0.9 eV. The C-H bond, once formed rapidly dissociates without a mechanism to dissipate its excess energy but a number of long-lived trapping rapid resonances exist and for impact parameter below 1 angstrom or so, several percent of the incident H atoms could remain trapped for 1 ps or more.

Influence of graphite addition on the reactivity of Ti powder with H2 under ball milling
Article Abstract:
A study on the effect of graphite addition on the mechanism of hydrogen uptake was conducted by titanium during mechanochemical activation in hydrogen flow using kinetic, structural, microscopic and spectroscopic technique. Two unknown types of occupation sites available for hydrogen was observed which were characterized by low H2 desorption temperatures.
