Structural study of inorganic oxides in a hybrid organic-inorganic solid polymer electrolyte
Article Abstract:
The structure of aluminosilica (AlSi) domains formed in situ by a sol-gel process within the 'PEO (PEG) + Li triflate' component of organic inorganic composite material (OICM) was studied by means of solid-state NMR, transmission electron microscopy (TEM), and nitrogen adsorption. Conductivity measurements show that the increase of AlSi surface area is consistent with an increase of conductivity, while Li transference numbers change in a more complicated pattern.

A modified box model including charge regulation for protein adsorption in a spherical polyelectrolyte brush
Article Abstract:
A spherical box model was constructed for an annealed brush consisting of a weak polyelectrolyte that includes the adsorption of bovine serum albumin. The model describes data in the absence of protein for the brush thickness as a function of pH and ionic strength, and predicts pH and ionic strength in the brush.
