Study on the supramolecular multirecognition mechanism of beta-naphthol/beta-cyclodextrin/anionic surfactant in a tolnaftate hydrolysis system
Article Abstract:
The mechanism of supramolecular multirecognition interaction among the anionic surfactant sodium lauryl sulfate (SLS), beta-cyclodextrin and beta-naphthol with stoichiometry of 1:1:1 is studied. Results indicated that the multiple and synergistic protection effects of sodium lauryl sulfate and beta-CD on the excited singlet state ROH played important roles in enhancement of the fluorescence of beta-naphthol (ROH).

Molecular structure of surface-active salt solutions: Photoelectron spectroscopy and molecular dynamics simulations of aqueous tetrabutylammonium iodide
Article Abstract:
An investigation on the structure of aqueous tetrabutylammonium iodide (TBAI) at the vacuum/water interface is presented by photoelectron spectroscopy and molecular dynamics (MD) simulation. The experiments show that the electron binding energies of the iodide are independent of the concentration and chemical composition of the counterions.
