Surface acidity and basicity of La2O3, LaOCl, and LaCl3 characterized by IR spectroscopy, TPD, and DFT calculations
Article Abstract:
Adsorption sites of La2O3, LaOCl, and LaCl3 catalysts were characterized with probe molecules using infrared spectroscopy, temperature-programmed desorption (TPD), and density-functional theory (DFT) calculations. Surface acid sites were probed with CO, pyridine, and 2,6-dimetyhlpridine (DMP), and basic sites were with CO2.

Mechanical study into the direct epoxidation of propene over gold/titania catalysts
Article Abstract:
The epoxidation of propene over gold/titania based catalyst is investigated using different techniques. Surface reactions and adsorption of reactants and products on the catalyst and the supports are investigated and by combining the information from different techniques, a kinetic mechanism is proposed.
