Surface studies of ceria and mesoporous ceria powders by solid-state (Super 1)H MAS NMR
Article Abstract:
The (Super 1)H MAS NMR signal deriving from adsorbed hydroxyl species was used to probe the surface of ceria and crystalline mesoporous ceria powders as a function of calcination temperature. The high-surface area was evidenced by large hydroxyl-derived (Super 1)H peak integrals for the mesoporous samples compared to that of ceria prepared by traditional precipitation techniques.

Influence of reduction conditions on H2 adsorption in high-surface Rh/CeO2 catalysts as deduced by volumetry, calorimetry and (super 1)H NMR techniques
Article Abstract:
The influence of different experimental conditions on the establishment of metal-support interactions in high-surface Rh/CeO2 catalysts is analyzed. Electronic perturbation of rhodium particles is higher when reductions are performed in dynamic conditions, however, the importance of physical blocking of metal particles increases in static reductions.
