Surfactantless synthesis of multiple shapes of gold nanostructures and their shape-dependent SERS spectroscopy
Article Abstract:
A useful method is developed for the synthesis of various gold nanostructures and the surface-enhanced Raman scattering (SERS) spectra of 4-aminothiophenol (4-ATP) on the as-prepared gold nanostructures of various shapes are measured. The evaluation suggests that intensity of the SERS signal is the smallest for the gold nanosheets and the flowerlike nanoparticle arrays have given the strongest SERS signals.

Noncovalent functionalization of multiwalled carbon nanotubes: Application in hybrid nanostructures
Article Abstract:
A noncovalent method of modifying multiwalled carbon nanotubes (MWNTs) was developed by embedding the nanotubes within polysiloxane micelles. On the basis of MWNTs, negatively charged gold nanoparticles are anchored to the nanotube surface through electrostatic interactions between the protonated amino groups and the gold nanoparticles.
