Time distribution of adsorption energies, local monolayer capacities, and local isotherms on heterogeneous surfaces by inverse gas chromatography

Article Abstract:

An inverse gas chromatographic method called reversed-flow gas chromatography can be used to directly measure the adsorption energies, local monolayer capacities and local adsorption isotherms as a function of the experimental time. This is demonstrated by using ethylene and propene as probe gases and ZnO, PbO and CaCO3 as solid adsorbents. Additional experimental results and other adsorption properties such as probability density functions relating to the energies are required to reach acceptable conclusions.

Diffusion and adsorption measurements in porous solids by inverse gas chromatography

Article Abstract:

New inverse gas chromatography methodology of reversed-flow gas chromatography is applied to measure diffusion and adsorption in porous solids. The theoretical analysis leads to equations describing the experimental data with very few approximations.
