Toward a unified treatment of electronic processes in organic semiconductors
Article Abstract:
A quantitative study, conducted on the n-type doping in highly crystalline organic semiconductor films established the predominant influence of electrostatic forces in the low-dielectric materials. Based on the findings, a self-consistent model for doped organic semiconductors was proposed in which the equilibrium free carrier density, n(sub f), was a small fraction of the total charge density, a super linear increase in conductivity with doping density was universal, and the carrier mobility was field dependent regardless of crystallinity.

Photovoltaic properties of Au/[beta]-carotene/n-Si organic solar cells
Article Abstract:
Photovoltaic properties of Au/[beta]-carotene/n-Si organic solar cells characterized by current-voltage and capacitance-voltage measurements are determined. The best conversion efficiency for Au/[beta]-carotene/n-Si solar cells is 23.3% at a light intensity of 6 W/[m.sup.2].
