Tunneling voltage polarity dependent submolecular contrast of naphthalocyanine on graphite. A STM study of close-packed monoloayers under ultrahigh-vacuum conditions

Article Abstract:

Unit cell and orientation of single molecules were determined by recording the sub molecularly resolved STM images for free-base Nc monolayers on graphite. STM and STS have proved to be useful tools to understand more about adsorption geometry and local electronic structure of an adsorbate monolayer.

Reverse exponential decay of electrical transmission in nanosized graphite sheets

Article Abstract:

Landauer's formalism is used to study the quantum transport effects in the molecular junction composed of a nanosized graphite sheet and two gold leads. Special attention is given to the exponential law of conductance and influences caused by defects in graphite sheets.

Quantum transport effects in nanosized graphite sheets. II. Enhanced transport effects by heteroatoms:

Article Abstract:

Quantum Transport effects in various nanosized graphite sheets are studied on the basis of the Landauer model. Nanosized graphite sheets that involve B, N, and O atoms are treated to derive heteroatomic effects in quantum transport.
