Understanding the movement, encapsulation, and energy barrier of water molecule diffusion into the in silicalites using ab initio calculations
Article Abstract:
The diffusion into and in silicalite of water-silicate interactions, energy barrier and water orientations are investigated. Experiments indicated the way in which water molecules move and turn via diffusion through the center of the silicalite pore to find the optimal route.

Time-resolved EPR study of reactive radical motion in cotton: effects of confinement
Article Abstract:
2-Hydroxyl-2-propyl and benzoyl radicals are created by laser flash photolysis of an alpha-hydroxyacetophenone in the amorphous region of dry cotton. The radicals are observed by TREP spectroscopy and the spectra consist of a liquidlike and crystalline portion.

Structural investigation of solid-acid-promoted Pd/SDB catalysts for ethyl acetate production from ethanol
Article Abstract:
Ethyl acetate can be formed from water-containing ethanol, through catalysis by styrene-divinylbenzene copolymer (SDB)-supported PD (Pd/SDB) catalysts. The results of the partial oxidation and esterification reaction are presented.
