Xenon in zeolite A
Article Abstract:
The arrangement of Xe atoms incorporated in the cavities of a fully dehydrated zeolite A with a unit composition of Cs3Na8HSi12Al12O48 (Cs3-A) has been studied. A Cs3-A crystal was exposed to 255 atm of Xe at 400 degrees C for 7 days and then cooled at pressure to trap the Xe atoms. A second crystal received the same treatment at 450 atm and a third crystal at 1020 atm. Single-crystal x-ray diffraction methods were used in determining the crystal structures in the cubic space group Pm3m at 21 degrees C and 1 atm.

Synthesis and crystal structure of Ag(sub 4)I(sub 4) nanoclusters in the sodalite cavities of fully K(super +) -exchanged zeolite A
Article Abstract:
Zeolites are considered useful for the stabilization of the uncommon chemical materials due to their regular pore and channel systems. A sole crystal of Ag(super +) -exchanged zeolite was processed with KI in CH3OH solution to synthesize a high density of AgI nanoclusters within the zeolite.

Preparation, crystal structure, and thermal stability of the cadmium sulfide nanoclusters [Cd.sub.6][S.sub.4.sup.4+] and [Cd.sub.2][Na.sub.2][S.sup.4+] in the sodalite cavities of zeolite A (LTA)
Article Abstract:
The crystal structure and thermal stability of two cadmium sulfide nanoclusters prepared in zeolite A (LTA) are analyzed by XPS, TGA and single-crystal and powder XRD. The CdS-containing clusters are found to be stable in air, which is given by the zeolite structures.
