Spillover in heterogeneous catalysis
Article Abstract:
Spillover, the residual remainder that does conform with other parts in a chemical process, can affect heterogeneous catalysis. This can create undesired catalytic activity, isotope exchange and numerous other events that should be taken into account during the catalysis procedure. Once understood, spillover can explain some of the kinetic effects of catalysis, and these are described.

Turnover rates in heterogeneous catalysis
Article Abstract:
The concept of turnover frequency (TOF) is important in heterogeneous catalysis, despite the special problems posed by solid surfaces. In measuring TOF, difficulties arise in calculating the rate of turnover and the number of active sites. Methods of measuring TOF for both solid acids and metals, and the applications of TOF values are discussed.

Modeling the kinetics of Heterogeneous catalysis
Article Abstract:
Monte Carlo simulation is significant in modeling the kinetics of the elementary processes useful in heterogeneous catalysis as it deals with the statistics of the absorbed layer correctly. It is effective in examining complex systems and providing explanation to heterogeneous catalysis with its enhanced computational power.
