Article Abstract:
A study by Frost and Sullivan, Inc., a marketing research firm, indicates that microcomputers and minicomputers will increase the use of computer systems by small retail operations. This increase in use of computer systems will result from: technological advancements, cost reductions, and integrated retail management systems. These systems assist retailers with bookkeeping and paperwork as well as management of income producing inventory functions. A table projecting microcomputer and minicomputer sales, through 1991, appears in the article.
