Olympus Optical Co. Ltd. uses SmartMedia cards in its digital cameras for easy operation and larger capacity. Olympus' Camedia line incorporates a removable 3.3V 8MB SmartMedia card, which can also process images and with the help of a personal computer, a Panoramic SmartMedia can make composite images using a group of frames. The company also has other SmartMedia cards for the creation of calendars and greeting cards. The Camedia C-840L also has other features that include macro recording, automatic focus, three resolution modes and four flash modes.
