The new majority
Article Abstract:
It is estimated that online users in the US will reach 177 million by 2003, and those individuals will be nothing like the 78 million people online before the end of the century. The new users are expected to be older, less educated and less affluent, and they will view the Internet as a necessary evil. As a result, Web sites will have to be less confusing, and no longer require the downloading of multimeg solutions to work correctly.

Let's be chromatically correct: the time has come to identify people as ebonies, chocolates, pinks or taupes
Article Abstract:
The time has come for Americans to reevaluate how they classify groups of people by skin color. It is a matter of refining the US census and recognizing that people are not merely white, black, red or yellow. This change would reflect a truer demographic portrait of US citizens. It would be another way of creating a better social environment for equality among humans.
