Towa Meccs Corp. offers the ET-6600 electronic cash register that is ideal to be used in lounges, fast-food restaurants and other hospitality operations. The product offers such features as a Happy Hour Mode with automatic price and time changes, heavy-duty dot-matrix printer, the training mode, and memory billing. There is also the optional Inter-Register Communication network, which lets the connection to one another of up to eight ET-6600s. The ET-6600 also provides up to 50 cashiers by ID number sign-on and traces up to 15,000 PLU codes by price scanning or number entry.

Detailed receipts make ECRs suitable for high-value retailers

Nasco Corp of Japan has launched its new lineup of electronic cas registers (ECRs) for small retailers. The NR-322N ECR features fully decriptive receipts and can handle up to 500 price lookup (PLU) codes, each with a 12-character alphanumeric description. The NR-122 ECR features 10 department totals and 320 PLU codes as standard and handles up to six operator totals by identification number. The NR-232 ECR handles 16 presettable departments as standard.
