The object of learning
Article Abstract:
'Learning objects,' or basic components that standardize IT training and are deliverable over the Web, promise to revolutionize IT training. IEEE is currently developing flexible standards that permit users to create new courses by snapping together these training components. Some companies, meanwhile, are now waiting for standard organizations to develop the standards, but haver banded together to develop the standards.

WBT's on the New Horizons
Article Abstract:
Santa Ana, CA-based New Horizons Computer Learning Centers Inc and DigitalThink, a distributor of Web-based training delivery solutions based in San Francisco, CA, have teamed up to offer Web-based training (WBT) options. The alliance will enable New Horizons to offer online its Choice Learning Program line of educational and training solutions, which are being used on CD-ROMs and classrooms.
