Ziff-Davis Publishing Co of Rochester, NY, has launched a Web-delivered computer-orientded training service called LearnItOnline. The training consists of several screens which presenter content and allows the user to interact with a simulation of the actual software. Ziff-Davis offers two LearnItOnline sites: the corporate and the consumer sites. The difference between the two sites is minor expcet for the Preview and Performance options. Single user subscription on the consumer site is $29.95 per year while corporate rates vary.

Microline becomes PowerSource

Aurora Electronics Inc has changed MicroLine's name to PowerSource which will act as a division of its owner. PowerSource can be accessed both at its former and new URLs, namely, www.microline.com and www.powersourceonline.com. The company provides inventories of computer subsystems and systems to online parts buyers. The online service also includes information on site traffic, the number of searches per month, the number of parts in the data base and an expanded statistics page.

Island Data Corp has launched a new online service that provides information technology (IT) support and service professionals with free information about IT service firms and employment opportunities. The Web site, www.helpme.com, was rolled out in fall 1998 in conjuction with TechSearch, an online executive recruiter. The site also provides a white paper on certain support technology.
