Biography Software sees life in March debut

Biography Software Corp of Ann Arbor, MI, will launch an infomercial in Mar 2000 for its Personal Author System software package. The infomercial was produced by Redford, MI-based Western Creative, which also edited it into two television commercials. The 60-sec and 120-sec spots will air concurrently with the infomercial, which was very successful during its initial testing on cable stations in several major cities.

IntelliVision gets MotorMillions rolling

Somerville, NJ-based IntelliVision will air its infomercial on national cable to be hosted by Dean Grazios who became a self-made millionaire through a used-car-buying strategy that he devised. The MotorMillions program will be a half-hour show that will include three three-minute calls to action to explain the product offering. Its Web site, which will be launched before the show goes on air, will provide customers with an opportunity to purchase the product.

One World uses Net as community

One World Networks will use a short-form infomercial in launching its Carb Fighter, a soy-based supplement and exercise program. The company will test market the Carb Fighter on national cable networks such as E!, Lifetime and the Discovery Channel. One World is hoping that Carb Fighter can generate as many customers at its predecessor, the Ultimate Lean Routine, which brought in 100,000 online customers since Apr 2000.
