Shattering SPF roofing myths
Article Abstract:
Spray polyurethane-foam (SPF) roofing systems result in a superior air barrier since every space is applied with a closed cell skinned foam. They also adhere to the substrate 100%, creating a very high wind uplift resistance. SPF systems also require minimal maintenance and removal requirements while delivering a faster return on investments. Despite these advantages, there are several misconceptions that have prevented roofing contractors from fully utilizing SPF systems.
