Fears for Laing's 500m pounds sterling PFI college
Article Abstract:
Laing may be unable to go ahead with plans to open a 500 million pounds sterling private finance initiative college in Watchfield, England, in Sep 1999. This is because the company, along with partner Serco, plans to use a site which is currently used for agricultural purposes. The department of the environment is concerned about the potential impact of the college on the local countryside, and has therefore issued notice that it may 'call in' the project.
