Firstlogic debuts data quality solution

Firstlogic, a data quality solutions vendor for data warehousing, e- business and print and mail applications, has introduced its international e-data quality (EDQ) solution at the 2000 Postal Forum held in Nashville, TN. The company's EDQ solution is offered to businesses wanting to gain access to Firstlogic's data quality products in an application service environment. It also provides international addressing to 16 European countries, including France, Italy, Germany and the UK.

FirstLogic debuts software to support rules changes

Postal software vendor, FirstLogic Inc, has launched a presort accuracy validation and evaluation solution that supports the several postal regulatory changes that will become mandatory with the US Postal Service's (USPS) 2000-2001 rate case. Labeled Postalsoft Presort, the software provides mailers the ability to combine automated and nonautomated catalogs in the same container. It also allows them to commingle offshore and onshore mail, thus reduce warehousing space and costs, decrease handling by the USPS and improve delivery time.

FirstLogic stamps out address errors on cataloger Cabela's Web site

Cabela's, a mail-order business based in Sidney, NE, has turned to FirstLogic Inc's address-quality software to purge its Web site with address errors. Returned deliveries due to address errors can cost a cataloger more than $80,000, said Christopher Colbert, FirstLogic's industry marketing director. Address errors occur frequently on the Web because of typing errors committed by customers and the inability by operator to verify Web orders.
