Law enforcement looks to marketers
Article Abstract:
Bank regulators are proposing that banks strictly monitor the financial transactions of their customers and report any unusual occurrences. The proposed regulations will also require banks to gather more information about their customers. Government agencies say the regulations are meant to protect banks from frauds and other shady characters. A closer look, however, will reveal an unconstitutional plan by the government to make private institutions a partner in law enforcement.
