The database program helped identify specific business categories wherein the company can target its products, such as residential construction and home construction industries. It also allowed Outwater Plastics to recognize the categories that it should not have been mailing to, such as refinishers. The company has garnered 450,000 prospects to send architectural catalogs to since it utilized the database system.

Battle Creek, MI-based Kellogg Co, the leading cereal producer in the world, will rollout again a series of in-home sampling campaigns in early 2000 to expand its market share for ready-to-eat cereals as well as for global convenience foods business. The marketing effort, designed by Grand Rapids, MI-based Alternate Marketing Networks Inc (AMN), will use the APD In-Home Sampling Division of AMN for nationwide direct-to-door sampling.
