Retailer hopes DM tops store sales
Article Abstract:
Media X, a Culver City, CA-based software retailer, has recently rolled out its first direct mail test that offered a wide range of software and computer games to consumers. The direct mail campaign aims to boost product awareness for "Peter Norton PC Guru" through all retail channels. The two-year old company expects better sales for the software products through the traditional mail than it was getting in computer retail stores. The campaign will run in six weeks and the firm may increase the mailing list to one million people if it is successful.
