Article Abstract:
Cheltenham and Gloucester College of Higher Education commissioned Edward Cullinan Architects to design its Pittville student housing in Cheltenham, England. This has 253 student residences which are divided into eight four-storey pavilions and two semi-detached three-storey pavilions. There is also a two-storey amenity building containing a student bar and a dining hall. The pavilions are cubic in form, and feature hipped roofs which culminate in central lantern lights.

Students angry over delayed building
Article Abstract:
Delays to the completion of the University of North London's new school of architecture have brought strong protests from students, who feel that the quality of their work is suffering as a result. The building is being developed by Folgate Estates, with construction work being undertaken by J. Murphy and Sons. It will then be leased to the university.

Article Abstract:
A description of construction work on the Carlow Institute, Carlow, Ireland, is presented. The 17 million pounds sterling spent on the initial phase included expansion and refurbishment to the college buildings.
