The newly fitted-out offices of advertising agency Walsh Trott Chick Smith in London, England, were designed by Softroom. Extensive use is made of glass panels for partitioning. Another key feature is a spin corridor with symmetrically sloping sides.

Architects Hurley, Robertson and Associates designed the speculative office building, for Greycoats, to take best advantage of its frontage on three sides. Building services and amenities such as toilets were placed to the back of the building which maximized access to the window wall frontage. The main contractor was Laing Management. The building is situated at 1 Great St Helen's, London, England and the construction work cost some 9.75 million pounds sterling. It has been rented to Hiscox, the insurance company, at 47 pounds sterling per sq ft.

Article Abstract:
Norwegian architect Niels Torp has been responsible for the very unusual design for British Airways' 200 million pounds sterling business centre near Heathrow Airport, England. The development is based around a long central street flanked by four-storey buildings. The street, which has a pavement of rough granite, has facilities including cafes, a bank and shops. The complex as a whole features offices, staff training facilities, a restaurant, a fitness centre and 114 ha of public parkland.
