Choosing safety
Article Abstract:
Car-safety tests assessed various models of cars during front, rear and side impacts and after a roll. The European New Car Assessment Programme was used to determine how the cars performed during a serious front and side crash. The cars were split into three classes: superminis, small family cars and large family cars. The Ford Fiesta and VW Polo were rated as good in the supermini class, the Ford Focus, Audi A3, and VW Golf got good results in the small family section and the Volvo S40 was the best of the large family cars.

Crash course
Article Abstract:
The accident management services which are now being offered by some garages in the UK may appear attractive. They supply a hire car while the customer's own car is being repaired, for example, and make contact with a solicitor to handle any claims relating to the accident. However, it is important to realise that such services may already be available as part of car insurance or breakdown cover. In some cases, garages earn commission from putting customers who have had an accident in touch with accident management services.
