Energy-saving light bulbs
Article Abstract:
Compact fluorescent lamps (CFLs) last seven or eight times longer than ordinary light bulbs but cost up to 30 times more. They create light more efficiently and come in different designs. They are heavier than tungsten light bulbs. Newer designs are smaller but more expensive. They are best used in areas where they will be on for some time. Light output is less than that from traditional bulbs and will reduce with time, so it is best to buy a CFL equivalent to a higher wattage bulb.

Daylight saving
Article Abstract:
There are now 40,000-50,000 domestic solar water-heating systems in use in the UK, with around a further 1,800 domestic solar power systems being installed every year. Using solar power can lead to considerable cost savings, but it is important to be aware that a solar power system is a long-term investment. Furthermore, some suppliers also use very high pressure sales techniques.
