Jargon is explained and advice is given on how to estimate the number of bricks required and where to buy them. Maintaining brickwork which shows efflorescence, cracking and repointing is described. Bricklaying skills for building a low garden wall are explained. There is advice on choosing a builder. Dulux Weathershield masonry paint was found the best when testing paints for outside walls.
