The UK government plans to 'digital switchover' across its region by region between 2008s and 2012s which will enable to receive TV in a new way with digital, pictures and sound are compressed into computer code before transmission, taking up less airwave space and allowing room for more channels. The cost of upgrades to Digital TV estimates about $ 132 and financial and practical assistance from government applies to those aged over seventy five or has significant disability and is receiving attendance allowance or disability living allowance.
