The pension mis-selling scandal
Article Abstract:
Those who were advised in the late 1980s or early 1990s to leave a company pension scheme and make contributions to a personal pension instead were probably wrongly advised. Pension companies and advisers have now reviewed very large numbers of cases of potentially misleading advice, and have already had to pay more than 2 billion pounds sterling to compensate people for losses sustained as a result of being incorrectly sold a personal pension. However, there are still many cases to be investigated and resolved.
